Policy on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
Welcome to our website (referred to as the ‘Site’). We value the rights of intellectual property and expect the same from others. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c), copyright owners or their representatives can issue a notice to us through our DMCA Agent for any content infringement. As an internet service provider, we are protected by the “safe harbor” provisions of the DMCA against such claims. To file a legitimate infringement claim, specific information must be provided to us:
Notice of Infringement – Claim
- A signature from the copyright owner or their authorized representative
- Identification of the copyrighted material allegedly infringed
- Details of the infringing content and how to locate it (including the URL if possible)
- Contact information of the complaining party
- A statement verifying that the material use is unauthorized
- A statement confirming the authenticity of the information provided
Section 512(f) of Title 17 USC imposes civil penalties on individuals who knowingly provide incorrect information in a copyright infringement claim under 17 USC §512(c)(3).
All takedown notices should be sent via our Contact page, preferably by email for a quicker response.
It’s important to note that we may disclose the identity and details in any copyright infringement claim to the alleged infringer upon submission. By filing a claim, you agree to this disclosure.
Counter Notification – Restoration of Material
If you disagree with a takedown notice due to copyright infringement, you can submit a counter notification to have the content restored. This notification must be in writing to our DMCA Agent and must include:
- Your signature
- Description of the removed material and its original location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake
- Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction for legal matters
Submit your counter notice through our Contact page, where email communication is recommended.
Repeat Infringer Policy
We follow the Digital Millennium Copyright Act’s requirements regarding repeat infringers and maintain a list of DMCA notices. We make efforts to identify and terminate accounts of repeat offenders to prevent copyright infringement.
Modifications
We retain the right to alter the content of this page and its DMCA policy at any time. We encourage you to check back regularly for updates or changes to the policy.
